STEVAL PUMA Rugby Squad Support Shavathon 2014

PUMAS Logo White-on-BlackThe STEVAL PUMA Rugby Squad will once again support CANSA at a Shavathon Event on Thursday, 27 February 2014, during Corporate Shavathon Week.

Team members and management have been touched by cancer – family & friends have been diagnosed – and that is why the PUMA Squad, PUMA Angels & Pumatjie (their mascot) wish to support CANSA in their efforts to raise awareness re the disease.

CANSA Shavathon congratulates our official Shavathon Supporting Rugby Team on their achievements at the SARU Awards! The STEVAL PUMA Squad won three out of four nominations: Best Team; Best 1st Division Currie Cup Player of the Year & Best Coach. Well done and thank you for your continued support!

Loyal CANSA Supporters

The PUMA Squad have supported various projects run by CANSA Lowveld in the past:

The PUMA Angels supported CANSA’s Shavathon in 2013, by encouraging corporates to shave & spray at the Shavathon Launch at InniBos.

The PUMAs also attended the Nelspruit CANSA Relay For Life Event in March 2013, despite having played a match at Mbombela Stadium earlier that night. They will be supporting this event again on the 8th March 2014.

In October 2013, the PUMAs helped CANSA raise awareness re breast cancer at Mbombela Stadium by participating in a fun-run, as well as helping to form a ‘human’ breast cancer awarenss ribbon on the field.

    Dear team CANSA.

Thank you for the privilege to help you guys raise awareness for the fight against cancer. The relentlessness manner in which Maria, Jacqueline and all the CANSA Superheroes go about raising awareness is truly inspiring and a great act of selflessness.
