We are grateful to Zoleka Mandela, a breast cancer survivor, who kindly donated 5 copies of her book When Hope Whispers, a true story, to CANSA. This book is Zoleka’s story of healing and triumph. Told with refreshing honesty, Zoleka’s story demonstrates that tragedy does not discriminate, and serves as testimony to the strength of the human spirit in fighting against life’s challenges. Read more about her journey…
We appreciate a kind donation from Torsten Koehler – a testicular cancer survivor. He has donated 5 copies of his book Love your Nuts – Testicular Cancer touched my Life. In his thirties Torsten discovered a change in his testicles. Diagnosis: cancer. He was lucky since he could be operated right away. After receiving chemotherapy, he was saved from death. Yet then the real fight for life started: he lost his zest for living and, fell into deep depression – a typical reaction for cancer patients. Read more here.
We also wish to thank Hola Watches for their donation of 3 pink watches to our competition! Hola Watches are passionate about creating awareness and giving back. That is why they give 20% of every watch sold to charities that dedicate their time to make a difference.
